Panama City Beach Proposal | Megan & Taylor
I mean, who doesn’t love the beach!?! The warmth of the sun blanketing the sand & water, the sound of seagulls calling to each other, the crash of waves in the distance & the mesmerizing curtains of the same wave creeping up on the sand…. you feeling ready to pack your bags & go to the beach too?
Taylor reached out to us letting us know that he was ready to pop the question, the idea came up of possibly doing it while on a vacation to Florida…. We were immediately on board with this! We came up with a plan for us to get down to Florida & capture a surprise proposal for these two lovebirds!!!Jana & I waited hidden behind an offload vehicle at the County Pier in Panama City Beach, we saw them walk past us & we creeped behind them until Taylor picked his spot & took his shot… & it could not have been anymore perfect. The sun was setting casting the most beautiful golden light, the waves crashed in the distance, and Megan said “yes”.
Honestly, I think we were more nervous than even Taylor! But, it was such a blast to be a part of these two’s milestone & what a blast!!!!!
Here is their story from Megans point of view!
“I first met Taylor in the spring of 2015 at FLC. I was getting ready to start school at IU, so I was visiting just to see if it would be a good church fit for me. Taylor welcomed me at the end of service, but we only exchanged a few words. I later found out that he let several people know that day (before even talking to me) that he was going to marry me some day & the rest is history.
We didn’t really talk again until that fall. Taylor dm’d me on Instagram (#dmtestimony) & after a lengthy conversation where we shared our love of abandoned buildings & structures, I finally let him have my number. Within a month or two, we were officially dating. I was completely & totally infatuated by him & his passion. You can see it in everything he does, from the time he spends to be the best at everything he does, to the way that he can’t deny food & money to the hungry. He’s one of the very best people I’ve ever known.
3 & half looooong years later on a pier in Panama City beach Taylor got down on one knee & asked me to marry him (of course after reminding me that he knew from the very first day). The weather was perfect, the sunset was perfect, the moment was perfect. If I didn’t know any better I would have thought Taylor orchestrated every last detail himself. It will forever be the easiest question I’ve ever had to answer.”
